Target to feature pull-out style guide in SI Swimsuit Issue

Minneapolis-based retailer Target is getting ready to make a big splash in Sports Illustrated's annual Swimsuit issue.

The New York Times reports that in addition to sexy swimsuit models including Kate Upton and newcomer Katherine Webb, the issue -- due out Tuesday -- will feature a pull-out section sponsored by Target.

Titled "Secrets of the Swimsuit," the pull-out will be a 12-page style guide aimed at women that gives buying tips and notes "swimsuit trends and advice on how mere mortals, not supermodels, can achieve that sexy beach look," the Times says.

Target marketing vice president Michelle Mesenburg told the Times that swimwear is huge business for the company, and the pull-out represents something "a little more innovative and not just an ad in the book."

Target will also be a marketing partner for the issue and will have six pages of ads that features the swimsuits it sells -- many of them under $40.

As for the actual models who will be featured in this year's issue, Forbes said they will be revealed Monday night on "Late Night with David Letterman."
