Target's highly anticipated collaboration with designer Lilly Pulitzer is getting the big buildup on fashion blogs.
USA Today called the collection "a resort-wearing, green-juice drinking, prep's dream" that combines colorful patterns from the upscale designer in partnership with the affordable retailer.
Target's website, A Bullseye View is previewing the collection, calling the 15 exclusive featured prints "original works of art." The prints were created by Lilly Pulitzer artists specifically for the collaboration with the retail giant.
The site says that Lilly Pulitzer for Target includes 250 items, including apparel, shoes and accessories for women and girls, home goods and cosmetics. Items in the collection range from $2-$150, and will be available at Target stores and on Target.com beginning April 19.
'My prayers were answered'
The collection is being greeted with enthusiasm from fashion blogs and individual shoppers.
On Bustle, a blogger who has been anxiously awaiting the preview wrote that "my prayers were answered" by the just-released photographs.
"The pastel tropical prints, the seaside stroll-ready dresses, and the signature combo of pink and green all make me feel like I’m about to step aboard the poshest yacht in town," the Bustle post added. "The best news about the collection is that you can get all of this ritzy suburban style on a dime."
The Refinery29 fashion website carried a slide show of the pieces, which "brings the late designer's Palm Beach vision of luscious florals, bright colors, and all things nautical to life." The post noted the collection includes the first designer collaboration pieces for plus-size women.
