Minneapolis-born singer and YouTube star Tay Zonday has unveiled his version of the infectious No. 1 pop hit by Carly Rae Jepsen. And why not -- everyone is singing it, even Colin Powell.

It was a just a matter of time before the Minnesota man who made the song "Chocolate Rain" an online hit offered the world his version of the Carly Rae Jepsen song "Call Me Maybe."

The Jepsen tune has hit No. 1, CNN reports. More than that, the song is taking over the world with an "unstoppable ubiquity," one writer on MTV says.

Feeding the craze is another YouTube senstation -- a mash-up of President Barack Obama "singing" the song:
