Country-pop star Taylor Swift has announced that Minnesota is in her long-term plans. She's booked two concert dates at St. Paul's Xcel Energy Center Sept. 7 and 8, 2013, the Pioneer Press reports. Ticket details will be announced soon.

The Minnesota dates will come toward the end of the March-September North American Red Tour, HitFix reports.

The singer has been in the news lately for her romance with a Kennedy, which appears to be over, the Hollywood Gossip reports.

Prince reportedly in talks to play St. Paul concert

Minneapolis-born music legend Prince may be coming to St. Paul to play a concert next month. Sources tell MPR News that Prince is in talks with the city to put on a show downtown Sept. 15, but not inside the Xcel Energy Center. The city in a statement wouldn't confirm or deny discussions with the musician.

St. Paul's Lowertown ballpark now out for bidding

After city leaders huddled for several hours late Tuesday, St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman announced Wednesday that the design-build contract for the $54 million Lowertown ballpark will be reopened for bids. The contract was originally awarded to Minneapolis-based Ryan Companies the day after the St. Paul Saints received $25 million in a state economic development grant.
