TCF ATMs are coming to Target.

The Wayzata-based banking company said in a press release automatic teller machines will be placed in 76 Target stores across the state.

That's all Target retail location in Minnesota, Mark Goldman, spokesperson for TCF Bank, told BringMeTheNews.

ATMs will also go into all Michigan Target locations (56 new machines), plus there will be 71 new ATM locations in Chicago-area Targets.

It's the first time in all three markets a TCF Bank ATM will be in a Target store, Goldman said. They're expected to be in place in Minnesota by early November.

Anyone with a TCF card won't have to pay a surcharge on the machines.

“This expansion significantly increases our ability to deliver ATM services to our customers wherever and whenever they need them,” Mark Jeter, executive vice president and managing director of Retail Banking for TCF Bank, said in the news release.

In Minnesota, the move increases TCF's ATM presence by about 25 percent, upping the total to more than 300.

Molly Snyder, a spokesperson with Target, confirmed the move but told BringMeTheNews the Minneapolis-based retailer doesn't have any more information to add at this point.

The machines themselves are owned by Cardtronics. Goldman said that company, not TCF, manages the ATMs' placement in Target stores.
