Teen arrested in connection with Duluth area vandalism spree

Over the past few months, there have been nearly a hundred car vandalism reports in Duluth and Superior. Now, police say they have a suspect.

WDIO says officials have taken a 16-year-old male into custody, and he's admitted to the damages.

The car windows appear to have been shot out with a BB gun, the station notes.

Superior police tell KBJR that officers executed a search warrant this week and located the teen. He's been taken to Arrowhead Juvenile Correctional Facility in Duluth.

Officials say they believe someone else was involved, they are looking for that person.

According to the Duluth News Tribune, the vandalism spree started in November and it appears random vehicles were chosen. In February, the station reports that more than 30 vehicle and home windows were damaged in Duluth.
