The 17-year-old authorities say was kidnapped and tortured, the word "snitch" carved into his chest, is no longer in the hospital.

The Carlton County Sheriff's Office said in an update Tuesday afternoon the Duluth teenager was released from a medical facility. They do not have an update on his condition beyond that.

One person, 21-year-old Scott Lindgren, was charged last week, with the criminal complaint saying he helped tie up and assault the teen for a long period of time. But authorities are still looking for accomplices.

In Tuesday's update, the sheriff's office said there was "at least" one other person involved. They don't think the public is in danger however.

The case is still being investigated, and they'll provide more information when there is some.

About that fire ...

The assault is said to have happened on May 15, at a home in Wrenshall.

Days later that same house was damaged in a fire, WDIO reported. Nobody was inside, but the home was engulfed when crews got there.

The Carlton County Sheriff's Office said the cause of the fire hasn't been determined yet, but the State Fire Marshal is looking into it.
