A teenager is now in custody as police in northern Minnesota continue to investigate the killing of Jaysen Greenwood.
Greenwood's body was found in a ditch in the Mott Pit area last month, near a former iron ore mine pit. Officials said his body was severely beaten, had multiple stab wounds, and had been set on fire.
Murder charges were filed days later against his 19-year-old roommate, Dylan Gilbertson.
This week, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office said it made another arrest – a 16-year-old from Hibbing (where Greenwood lived) was taken into custody.
The sheriff's office says she is suspected of obstructing the investigation into Greenwood's death. No other details were provided. The teen is being held at the Arrowhead Juvenile Center in Duluth. (Note: BringMeTheNews does not name suspects under the age of 18.)
Update: The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office said Thursday afternoon a third person – a 19-year-old from Hibbing – has been arrested. The man is also suspected of obstructing the investigation into Greenwood's death.
