The Pioneer Press reports the suspect's car went west, then south, and just across the Mississippi River crashed into Captain Ken's Foods. That's about 5 miles from where the car was reported stolen.

The driver of the vehicle, 15-year-old John McAfee, was taken to Regions Hospital with critical injuries, but later died, the Star Tribune reports.

The officers involved in the pursuit were placed on standard administrative leave.
