A 33-year-old man who posed as a teenager online and talked a Rochester, Minn. girl, 9, into sending a nude photo of herself was sentenced Thursday to nearly 20 years in prison.
The Associated Press reports Steve Correa-Franco of Spring, Texas pleaded guilty to enticement of a child and possession of child pornography in federal court last December.
Investigators said the father of the girl called police last April after noticing suspicious activity on a family computer where an extensive Yahoo! chat between his daughter and Correa-Franco was found, according to Your Houston News.
Investigators say Correa-Franco, who claimed to be 16-years-old, repeatedly discussed having sex with the girl and sent her several photos of himself that included his face.
"Correa-Franco asked the girl to take a nude photograph of herself, which she did using her Nintendo DS handheld game system," according to the feds.
The girl emailed the image to an address that he provided.
After tracing the email account to Correa-Franco, a forensic analysis of his laptop revealed more than 200 videos of child porn along with the photo of the young girl.
