Terminal 2 reopened; evacuation prompted by box containing propane tank

A package containing a propane tank caused authorities to evacuate and shut down a portion of Terminal 2, formerly the Humphrey Terminal at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport for about two hours Friday morning. Airport spokesman Pat Hogan said a woman tried to get through security with the package. The package was reported around 6 a.m. and delayed around a dozen outgoing flights.

Trucks from the U.S. Postal Service will be delivering packages in some areas of the Twin Cities this Sunday. The USPS says it will make the Sunday deliveries in an effort to ease the holiday crunch.
