The man, who arrived at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on March 31, went to a doctor soon after arriving, complaining of a fever. Blood samples tested by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention turned up positive for the viral disease.

Explosion hazard causes Minnesota company to recall gas fireplaces

Lakefield-based Hussong Manufacturing, known for its Kozy Heat products, is recalling about 16,000 gas fireplaces and fire place inserts due to an explosion hazard. The company has received nine reports of gas being released prematurely and exploding, according to a recall notice.

Grand Rapids High School hockey star named national player of the year

A Grand Rapids, Minnesota high school senior has been named the inaugural USA Today's All-USA Hockey Player of the Year. Forward Avery Peterson finished the season with 37 goals and 30 assists in 27 games. He was one of three Minnesota high school hockey players on the All-USA First Team.
