Minnesota scored second in the nation for opportunities for young people in a a study released Monday, but the news overall for young people nationwide was grim.
A 107-year old bakery on the West Side of St. Paul has closed. Jerabek’s New Bohemian Bakery, beloved for its tasty pies, cakes and Czech delicacies, shuttered its downtown skyway satellite as well.
It was just two weeks ago that police announced with some fanfare that 16 members of the East Side Boys gang in St. Paul had been arrested in a sweep involving more than 100 officers. But the gang is still at it.
