Isabella and Aiden were some of the most popular baby names last year at Regions Hospital in St. Paul.
The hospital welcomed nearly 2,500 newborns in 2014, the hospital said in a news release Monday. Nurses at the hospital's Birth Center say parents are continuing to pick more traditional names for their children.
Isabella and Sophia topped the list of most popular girl names for the fifth year in a row. But this year's list also included some newcomers.
For boys, Aiden replaced Jayden as the most popular name. The complete list:
Regions' top baby names are similar to those around the nation. Baby Center released its annual top baby names list for 2014 in December.
The top girl names were Sophia, Emma, Olivia, Ava and Isabella. For boys, it was Jackson, Aiden, Liam, Lucas and Noah.
In the spring, the Social Security Administration releases the most popular baby names by state. For 2013, Olivia was the most popular name for girls in Minnesota, while William was tops for boys.
