The very first Famous Dave's restaurant – located in the northwest Wisconsin town of Hayward – burned almost completely to the ground in November.
But worry not. The original symbol of the now-Minnesota-based national chain is getting a new home (at least temporarily).
The owners wrote a message on the restaurant's Facebook page, saying they'd signed a lease for the former Canton Garden spot in Hayward.

Northland's NewsCenter reports Dave Anderson, the owner of the Hayward restaurant, said they're hoping to be open on Feb. 1.
The original rustic log restaurant was on the grounds of the Grand Pine Resort on the shore of Round Lake, when a fire was reported on Nov. 3.
No one was inside the building at the time.
The building was left in ruins – a photo album by Mark Lundeen can be viewed by clicking here – but Anderson quickly sketched out plans for the future.
“At 4:30 AM I was awakened by a call that my first restaurant The Original Famous Dave’s in Hayward Wi was ablaze. 20 years of memories. We will rebuild. For all our employees– Kathy and me and our GM Dave Von Rueden…we will find a location to be open ASAP. Maybe even in one of our pole barns at the family farm. Just know we will reopen and start serving great BBQ all over again! Please let everyone know this is only a temporary setback and we will begin anew!!!”
The blaze left many without a job, the restaurant said.
"Many are single parents with young children who could use a little extra help while they deal with the stresses of unemployment and upcoming holidays. Our wish is to help them have a Merry Christmas during these difficult times."
A GoFundMe page was set up to take donations for the 38 employees affected by the fire. Click here to see it.
