Baby can have shoes. The pain at the pump is easing, notes the Minneapolis St Paul Business Journal.
After the eyebrow-raising, wallet-clutching prices this spring, the trend is reversing. According to TwinCitiesGasPrices.com, the average price per gallon in the Twin Cities on July 1 is $3.30. One week ago, a gallon of unleaded was averaging $3.44; it stood at $3.84 one month ago.
The low price in the metro area is $3.18, available at an Inver Grove Heights station. Motorists can fill up for a penny more per gallon in Champlin and Forest Lake.
Summer travelers cruising the region will be pleased as well. GasBuddy.com reports prices in Fargo-Moorhead average $3.38, in Madison, Wis., it's $3.40 and around Des Moines, Iowa the average price is $3.43.
In mid-May, gas prices across the region soared to the unpleasant distinction of being nation's highest priced fuel, with a gallon averaging $4.28.
An analyst at GasBuddy.com predicted that prices will continue to slide.
