The sun is shining and patios are opening across the Twin Cities

Here are the places to head to for drinking and eating in the sunshine this weekend.

Temperatures are going to hit 60 degrees over the next few days, and Twin Cities restaurants don't need telling twice to get their patios open.

There's plenty of choice for al fresco dining and drinking across the metro area starting Friday, with restaurants announcing they're dusting off the patio furniture as the weather heats up.

CityPages has put together a quick list at some of these places, which includes Betty Dangers, the Chatterbox Pub and Psycho Suzi's in Minneapolis, Como Dockside in St. Paul and 6Smith in Wayzata. See the full list here.

Betty Dangers won't just have the patio open either, it will also have its ferris wheel running and its mini golf course open, it confirmed on Facebook.

WCCO also has a list of patios opening this weekend, which includes Lela and The Nomad in Minneapolis, Parma 8200 in Bloomington, the Longfellow and Edina Grills, and Pier 500 in Hudson. Check out its list here.

Minneapolis venues that have confirmed open patios include:

  • The Herkimer Pub and Brewery in Lyn-Lake.
  • The Bauhaus Brewery.
  • The Bulldog NE.
  • Sociable Cider Werks.
  • Moose & Sadie's.
