The Vikings are at the top of ESPN's Power Rankings

The Vikings are 5-0, and No. 1.

The Minnesota Vikings are the lone undefeated team in the NFL and they're gaining national attention for their play. ESPN released its weekly Power Rankings on Tuesday with the Vikings topping the list.

Minnesota moved up four spots from last week. Here's what the world wide leader in sports had to say about the purple and gold.

"Is there any doubt Mike Zimmer is the league's front-runner for Coach of the Year right now? He lost his starting quarterback before the season started, yet has the Vikings unbeaten heading into a bye thanks to a defense that is allowing the fewest points per game. The Vikings ranked last in PPG allowed in 2013, the season before Zimmer arrived in Minneapolis."

Mike Zimmer's team is 5-0 and has a bye this week. They return to action on Oct. 23 for a showdown with the Philadelphia Eagles.

It's been an exciting off-day for the Vikings who announced earlier on Tuesday they signed veteran tackle Jake Long to a contract.
