Thieves target Hutchinson car dealership for wheels

Hutchinson police are investigating the theft of wheels stolen from dozens of vehicles at Valley Sales Chevrolet in Hutchinson. A total of 60 wheel-tire sets were taken from 15 new Chevrolet trucks, SUVs and one car.

Hutchinson police are investigating wheels stolen from dozens of vehicles at Valley Sales Chevrolet in Hutchinson, KARE 11 reports.

A total of 60 wheel-tire sets were taken from 15 new Chevrolet trucks, SUVs and one car, according to the Hutchinson Leader. All the tampered vehicles were left on paving blocks when discovered Sunday morning by an employee.

Lt. Tom Gifferson tells KARE 11 that surveillance tape from the dealership won't be much help in finding a suspect.

Similar crimes have been reported in the Twin Cities and St. Cloud.
