This is not a drill: McDonald's has 4 new Shamrock Shake drinks

Some are hot, some are cold.

As if the anticipation of Shamrock Shake season wasn't already bad enough, McDonald's recently announced it's going to have several versions of the sugar-packed, green minty drinks.

Brand Eating says the new shakes throw chocolate in to the mix.

Here's how:

Chocolate Shamrock Shake: This is a layered shake – half of it is chocolate, the other half is Shamrock Shake. It's finished off with whipped topping, green sugar crystals, and a drizzle of chocolate syrup.

Shamrock Chocolate Chip Frappe: This one's the Chocolate Chip Frappe blended with the minty Shamrock Shake syrup and topped the same way as the Chocolate Shamrock Shake.

Shamrock Hot Chocolate: For the days too cold for a shake, you can order a hot chocolate mixed with Shamrock Shake syrup.

Shamrock Mocha: And if you need a little pick-me-up, there's this mocha mixed with Shamrock Shake syrup.

Of course the classic Shamrock Shake will still be an option. This year, it'll also be topped with green sugar crystals along with a cherry.

According to Fortune, the drinks are already available at some McDonald's locations. However, not all restaurants will participate.

If you'd like to learn more about the popular green drink, the Huffington Post has a whole bunch of interesting (and gross) facts here.
