This pooch got into quite the predicament Tuesday.
We're not sure exactly what happened, but somehow this golden retriever got out onto some thin ice in Roseville, and the dog broke through.
So the local fire department went to the rescue.
They made it safely back to shore, where the "happy dog" was safely reunited with its family.
You can see more photos of the rescue here.
The fire department says that if you ever see an animal in trouble, don't try to rescue it yourself. Call 911 if the animal is in immediate need of some help. Depending on the situation, you could also reach out to your local police department or rehabilitator.
incident also serves as a reminder to keep off any ice that remains, because it's probably pretty weak and dangerous.
