Police in Eagan are searching a man suspected of stabbing three others after a fight outside a restaurant.

Eagan Police were called to Casper's Cherokee at 4625 Nichols Road just after 10:30 p.m after staff reported that "several males were fighting," according to a news release.

It emerged that four men had got into an argument inside the restaurant, which spilled outside and resulted in one of the men stabbing the three others, before fleeing the scene on foot.

One of the men, a 34-year-old, was seriously wounded after being stabbed in the chest and stomach. He was transported to a nearby hospital but his condition is not known at this stage.

The other two victims, aged 45 and 31, received non-life-threatening injuries and were released from hospital.

Authorities have not been able to find the suspect but they do know who he is. They are not releasing the names of anyone involved for the time being, but have said there is no threat to public safety.
