Comedian and actress Amy Schumer is coming to Target Center in April.

Schumer, who is known for her Comedy Central show "Inside Amy Schumer" and her role in the 2015 romantic comedy "Trainwreck", announced her spring tour Monday.

The tour kicks off April 7 and will make stops across the country, including in Minneapolis on April 21. Tickets, which range in price from $51 to $111, go on sale Friday at noon on Schumer's website here.

The award-winning writer/producer/director's popularity quickly rose in 2015, the Washington Post explained. Just three years ago Schumer played two shows at Minneapolis' Varsity Theater, and now she's performing at Target Center – a venue the Star Tribune says is large for a comic act.

Schumer, who is known for her sex-fueled jokes, is also expanding her resume with the release of her first book this summer. Last week, she announced a deal with Gallery Books to publish "The Girl With the Lower Back Tattoo" – a collection of stories that range from the "raunchy to the romantic, the heartfelt to the harrowing."

The book is set to be released Aug. 16.
