A tragic accident claimed the life of a one-and-a-half-year-old boy in Wisconsin on Monday morning.

The boy, named Abraham Flynn, was hit by a van in the driveway of a neighbor's home in Farmington, near the Minnesota border, just after 10 a.m.

The car was being moved at the time so that the driveway could be snow plowed, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Department.

The 54-year-old driver, from nearby Osceola, did not see the child entering the driveway, the press release said.

The toddler and several other children had been out playing in the snow at the time, with Flynn run over as the van backed up.

He was taken to Osceola Medical Center and then flown to Regions Hospital in St. Paul, where he sadly died from his injuries.
