The National Weather Service says four tornados have been reported in eastern parts of North Dakota as storms passed through the state and into Minnesota.

WDAY says "major weather damage" has been reported near Hillsboro – a small city right between Grand Forks and Fargo where a tornado has touched down.

There are not many details yet as to what all has been impacted by the storm, but here are some photos:

Large hail has been reported in the Fargo area, as well.

The hail was even worse just west of Grand Forks. The Grand Forks Herald says a small town there was hit with 3-inch icy stones.

According to the NWS, strong storms are moving southeast into Minnesota.

There have already been some severe thunderstorm warnings in northwestern parts of the state. The storms are expected to bring hail and wind gusts up to 60 mph.
