Toys R Us to open pop-up shop in Macy's stores, including MOA

    Macy's at the Mall of America in Bloomington will be among the 24 Macy's stores across the country to offer a Toys R Us Express-branded department during the upcoming holiday season, according to a company news release. The pop-up toy shops will be open from Oct. 15 to Jan. 15 and offer an assortment of dolls, action figures and puzzles.

    Macy's at the Mall of America in Bloomington will be among the 24 Macy's stores across the country to offer a Toys R Us Express-branded department during the upcoming holiday season, according to a company news release.

    The pop-up toy shops will be open from Oct. 15 to Jan. 15 and offer an assortment of dolls, action figures and puzzles.

    Minneapolis-based discount retailer Target and luxury department store Neiman Marcus are also teaming up to sell a limited-edition collection of designer products starting Dec. 1.

    Health insurers launch 'pop-up' stores at Twin Cities shopping centers

    Health insurance companies in Minnesota are going after retail shoppers by setting up temporary "pop-up" stores and kiosks. The Pioneer Press reports HealthPartners, based in Bloomington, is opening a makeshift store at Ridgedale Center in Minnetonka on Thursday. The newspaper notes Eagan-based Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota is also testing the rise of consumerism in health care by teaming up with Walgreens stores around the state. Earlier this month, Minnetonka-based UnitedHealth Group opened 30 pop-up stores and more than 1,400 kiosks in shopping malls across the country.
