What's happening?

A train carrying Republican members of Congress to a legislative retreat in West Virginia crashed into a garbage truck.

Pictures of the aftermath were shared on social media by Oregon Rep. Greg Walden.

Is everyone ok?

There are people on the train who suffered minor injuries, but there were no serious injuries among members of Congress or their staff.

Two individuals in the garbage truck however were more seriously injured, with NBC reporting that one of them has been killed in the collision.

Were Minnesotan members on board?

All three of Minnesota's Republican House members were on board: Reps. Tom Emmer (CD-06) and Erik Paulsen (CD-03) and Jason Lewis (CD-02).

Lewis hasn't posted to social media yet, but he told Fox News that he had suffered minor injuries in the collision.

ABC reports that he has been taken to a hospital to be checked over for a possible concussion.

Emmer posted on Twitter that he was on the train with his wife, Jacquie, and said they were both safe.

Rep. Paulsen had this to say.
