Training to be a doctor is stressful -- on cars, too

Medical residents put in long hours under stressful circumstances. And that's before the commute home.

The Rochester Post Bulletin reports new Mayo Clinic research finds these doctors-in-training are more likely than the rest of us to be involved in a traffic accident or narrowly escape one. The residents in the study attributed the accidents to fatigue and distress, renewing attention to the demands placed on those training for - or working in - the medical profession.
