Volunteers will expand the ongoing search of Kira Steger Trevino with one search Saturday and two on Sunday, according to the Pioneer Press.

Trevino, 30, has not been seen since Feb. 21, and recent searches have been on and around Keller Lake in Maplewood as well as parts of St. Paul. But at least one search this weekend will cover more ground, stretching as far as Blaine.

The Pioneer Press reports that Jodie Leko, one of the organizers, said they're trying to cross off places to search.

Groups as large as 40 volunteers have searched for Trevino, who is presumed dead because of blood found in her car and at her home. Her husband Jeffrey Trevino, 39, pleaded not guilty to charges in Ramsey County District Court last month, and is being held in the Ramsey County Jail on $1 million bail. His trial is set for May 28.

The searches are:

*10 a.m. Saturday at Oak Creek Park near Lake Vadnais, 485 Oak Creek Dr. S. in Vadnais Heights.

* 10 a.m. Sunday. The group will start at Wakefield Park, 1590 Frost Ave. in Maplewood and then move on to nearby Frost Lake Park, 1421 E. Hoyt Ave. in St. Paul. More information is at the Justice For Kira Steger Trevino Facebook page.

* 11 a.m. Sunday at Bunker Hills Regional Park in Anoka County. The group will park and meet to start the search at Blaine High School, 12555 University Ave. NE in Blaine. More information about this search and the Saturday search are at another Facebook page.
