Trevino trial moved to September

The trial date for Jeffery Trevino, which had been scheduled for July 22, has been moved to Sept. 16, the Star Tribune reports.

The delay gives Trevino's lawyer more time to conduct an independent probe of autopsy results, the newspaper reports.

Trevino is charged with second-degree murder in his wife's killing. He has pleaded not guilty.

Kira Steger, 30, of St. Paul, went missing Feb. 22 and her body was discovered in the Mississippi River on May 9.
