Lt. Tiffani Nielson with the State Patrol told BringMeTheNews the semi truck struck the median "and the impact sheered the side panel of the trailer," noting no injuries were reported.

The crash happened near Prairie Center in Eden Prairie, police tweeted, just after 8 a.m. according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation's website.

The left lanes of I-494 are closed in both directions, and are expected to remain blocked until at least 10 a.m., MnDOT's website shows.

The crash is causing slight delays on both directions of the interstate, the agency notes.
