Trump's 'thank you tour' brings him to Wisconsin Tuesday

That's the same day as the deadline for finishing the recount

Donald Trump may get to Wisconsin just in time to celebrate his victory – again.

The president-elect announced Thursday he'll hold a rally outside of Milwaukee on Tuesday Dec. 13, which is also the day the law requires Wisconsin to finish its recount.

Vice President-elect Mike Pence will join Trump for the 7 p.m. appearance at the State Fairgrounds in West Allis. Tickets are free and can be reserved here.

It's part of Trump's post-election tour of battleground states, which brought him to Des Moines, Iowa on Thursday night.

The president-elect's "Thank You Tour" has already included appearances in Ohio and North Carolina. Rallies in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Alabama are also scheduled.

Recount in home stretch

A recount of the nearly 4 million ballots cast in Wisconsin was requested by Green Party candidate Jill Stein and is underway now.

Election officials told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Thursday it was about 70 percent complete and there's been almost no change from the election night results that showed Trump with a narrow victory.

While the deadline for finishing the recount is Tuesday, the Wisconsin State Journal says the state has told counties to have their work wrapped up by 8 p.m. Monday.
