Jason Matheson is spreading his wings once again, with his popular FOX 9 morning program The Jason Show getting another run in other major U.S. markets.

Last summer, the Twin Cities TV personality saw his popular show get a test run in Dallas, Phoenix and Los Angeles, and it's happening again this summer.

Monday marked the first day of a four-week test run on a number of Fox affiliates across the country, including those in Los Angeles (again), San Francisco and Chicago

Matheson is more confident than he was during his first national run, telling CityPages it's a "dream come true" and that the show is better than it was a year ago.

That magazine notes that this is how Fox gave tryouts to Wendy Williams and Bethenny Frankel, now big stars, but adds that they were both coming from the more prominent New York market where they were already well known.

Matheson, however, thinks coming from Minnesota gives him an advantage, saying: "We’re embracing where we are, and not shying away from the fact we’re in the Midwest, and coming from Minnesota."

The show has been a big success since debuting on Twin Cities television in 2015. Matheson is also a radio personality, hosting the Jason & Alexis show on MyTalk 107.1, and previously worked for WCCO.
