Twin Cities nurses, hospitals agree to early labor talks

The Minnesota Nurses Association has agreed to hold early contract negotiations with six Twin Cities hospitals, the Associated Press reports. The current contract covers roughly 12,000 union nurses at Allina, Children’s, Fairview, HealthEast, North Memorial and Park Nicollet hospitals. It expires June 1, 2013. Both sides agreed negotiations will be limited to wages only, unless a deal can not be reached by Dec. 25.
