Twins' Chris Gimenez did something that hasn't happened in 133 years

The last time this happened was 19 years after Abe Lincoln was assassinated.

Not many players have done what the Twins' Chris Gimenez has accomplished in 2017 for Minnesota. At least, not many have in quite a long time.

Chris Giminez became the first major leaguer to catch and pitch in at least six games in 133 years, as Ryan Spaeder points out on Twitter.

The feat was last accomplished by a fellow named Yank Robinson a mere 19 years after Abraham Lincoln's 1865 assassination.

Chris Gimenez has been the utility player Minnesota has needed this season: He's been backup catcher to starter Jason Castro, started games in the outfield, and now has helped out of the bullpen in six games so far.

Giminez has allowed 4 runs on 7 hits in his six separate appearances on the mound, while hitting .213 with 5 home runs this year.
