Three fatalities have been reported after house fires broke out in homes in Minnetonka and St. Cloud overnight.

The Associated Press says two bodies were discovered once firefighters put out the blaze at house in Minnetonka on Westwood Rd. Friday night.

Around 10:30 p.m., firefighters responded to the fire but were unable to safely go inside, according to KSTP.

A neighbor tells WCCO that an elderly couple lived in the home. The victims' identities have not been released and the fire is under investigation.

In St. Cloud, one person died and another was injured in a house fire at 520 Eighth Ave S. early Saturday.

The St. Cloud Times says the fire department also had difficulty entering the home because the fire was too intense. Two others lived in the home, but were gone at the time of the fire.

The injured victim was transported to St. Cloud Hospital and released.

The cause is under investigation.
