Two killed in separate crashes on MN roads Saturday morning


Two people have died in separate crashes in Minnesota Saturday morning.

According to a Douglas County Sheriff's Office press release, a driver was killed in a rollover crash on Pope Douglas Road SW south of Kensington just after 6 a.m.

The driver was traveling east when they left the road and entered a ditch, rolling several times before coming to rest in a field.

The driver was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been revealed at this stage

Meanwhile, a 35-year-old Hastings man identified by the Minnesota State Patrol as Anthony J. Bruner died following a motorcycle crash

The incident happened on Highway 61 near Cannon Street, with Bruner riding his Harley Davidson southbound when he left the road and rolled the bike at around 12:30 a.m.

He was thrown from the bike and died in hospital. The state patrol says alcohol was detected.
