Two men arrested in MSU stabbing


Mankato police arrested two men Saturday in connection with the stabbing in a dorm at Minnesota State University - Mankato, according to the Mankato Free Press

Though a police statement says the assault was "not a random act," it is still asking anyone with information to call.

The incident put the campus on a brief lockdown Friday afternoon. It occurred on the 2nd floor of G wing in McElroy Hall.

Witnesses told the newspaper the victim was not a student, but the boyfriend of a female student living in the dorm.

KTOE reported there was blood in the hallway, down the stairs and on the sidewalk outside the dorm.

KEYC  said police are not seeking additional suspects.
