Two men have died from gunshot wounds in northern Minnesota following a shooting on Tuesday night.

The Cass County Sheriff's Office reported on Thursday that it was called to the 8700 block of Midway Drive NW near Onigum at 7:18 p.m. to find a 57-year-old man had been shot.

Upon searching the property, near the shore of Leech Lake, officers found the body of a 60-year-old man, who had died from gunshot wounds.

The 57-year-old was taken by helicopter to a hospital in Fargo, where he was later pronounced dead.

Officers said there is no imminent danger to residents of Cass County.
