A 71-year-old woman and a 78-year-old man, both from San Antonio, Texas, died Saturday night after they were struck by an SUV while trying to cross Highway 10 near Sunfish Lake Boulevard in Ramsey. The Star Tribune reports drugs or alcohol are not considered a factor.

KSTP notes a pedestrian was hit and killed at the same location just over two weeks ago.

The Ramsey mayor says the accident highlights the safety issues with Highway 10, WCCO reports.
