Two police officers injured, 7 juveniles arrested in fight at St. Cloud Children's Home


Seven teenagers were arrested following a fight Thursday night at the St. Cloud Children's Home, according to the St. Cloud Times.

At least ten officers responded to the scene. One St. Cloud police officer suffered a broken nose during the incident and a second officer also suffered unspecified injuries. WJON Radio reported that nine teens in Cottage #2 of the residential campus began fighting and threatening the staff.

The Associated Press said that the home, which is operated by Catholic Charities, is a residential treatment facility for young people between the ages 9 to 18.

The seven juveniles arrested were described as four boys and three girls, ranging in age from 14-16, according to St. Cloud police. They could face charges of assault, obstructing legal process, disorderly conduct, obstructing legal process and third-degree riot, police said.

A 16-year-old girl was arrested for investigation of two counts of second-degree assault, according to police.
