The St. Cloud State Huskies lost their second straight to the University of New Hampshire Wildcats on Saturday night, the Times reports.

Minnesota State Mankato will open their home schedule on Friday with one win and one tie after a weekend series against Alabama Huntsville, the Mankato Free Press reports.

Bulldogs split series with North Dakota

Minnesota Duluth (19-7-4 and 13-6-3 in WCHA) snapped a two-game losing streak Saturday night in Duluth with a 5-4 victory to split the weekend series against UND (16-11-2 and 12-10). Senior forward Jack Connolly netted two goals and had three assists for the third-ranked Bulldogs. UMD men's hockey travels to Mankato next weekend.

Bulldogs sweep Alabama-Huntsville

The No. 1-ranked Bulldogs defeated Alabama-Huntsville 4-3 at home Saturday night. The University of Minnesota Duluth (17-4-3) has won eight straight home games and swept six series so far this season. The Bulldogs are back home again Friday and Saturday to host Michigan Tech University.

UMD Bulldogs shut down on home ice

Michigan Tech (12-12-2 overall, 9-7-2 in the WCHA) shut out No. 1 Minnesota-Duluth at Amsoil Arena Saturday, 5-0. The Bulldogs (17-5-4, 11-4-3) are back on the road next weekend to take on last-place Alaska Anchorage.

Alaska Anchorage beats top-ranked Bulldogs, 3-2

Bulldogs' sophomore J.T. Brown had a great weekend scoring five of the six UMD goals in this weekend's WCHA series. But last-place Anchorage held onto a 3-2 victory Saturday night to break an eight-game losing streak. With eight games left in the regular season, the Bulldogs (18-6-4 and 12-5-3 in WCHA) are now three points behind first-place Minnesota; two points ahead of third-place Colorado College and three points ahead of fourth-place Denver. UMD will host fifth-place North Dakota this Friday and Saturday.
