St. Paul priest arrested on suspicion of sexual assault of a minor

The Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis has removed Curtis Carl Wehmeyer, 47, as a pastor. He was arrested in Oakdale on Friday and released from the Ramsey County Jail on Monday, pending further investigation. He has not been charged. A male juvenile has alleged assaults over a two-year period.

Minnesota priest accused of sexual assault jailed in India

Rev. Joseph Jeyapaul allegedly sexually assaulted two underage girls in the Diocese of Crookston eight years ago. The Star Tribune reports the 57-year-old went to India before charges were filed in 2006. Jeyapaul denies the allegations and continues to work with children.
