Unhappy hour: Maplewood police look for man who pulled gun in bar

Do you know the man who was caught on camera flashing a pistol at a Maplewood bar and sending the place into a panic?

If so, authorities in the Ramsey County city would like to talk to you.

In a bid to widen their investigation, Maplewood police posted the surveillance video from the July 24 incident at Bleechers Bar & Grill to their Facebook page on Monday, asking for the public's help in finding the suspect.

The clip shows the man pointing a gun at a fellow patron during an apparent altercation, sending other customers scattering. Watch it here:

Help Us ID and Locate Man Threatening Bar Patrons With a Gun.On Friday, July 24, 2015 just before 11:00 PM, Maplewood police officers were called to Bleecher’s Bar at 2220 White Bear Avenue North, in Maplewood on the report of an armed assault that occurred inside the establishment.Witnesses reported that two men were fighting inside the bar, when one of the men pulled a small silver gun and pointed it at the man he was fighting with. When the gun was brandished, those threatened with the gun back away. The suspect then backs out of the bar while pointing the gun at other patrons in the bar. The entire incident is captured on surveillance video from inside the bar. Anyone with information as to the identity and/or whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call the Maplewood Police Department at 651-249-2600 or 9-1-1. Information can also be provided anonymously by texting the keyword Maplewood followed by the tip information to Tip411 (847411).

Police say it began with a fight between the suspect and another man, at whom he aimed his weapon before backing out of the sports bar – apparently pointing it at other patrons all the while.

No other details from the investigation were immediately available.

Anyone with information about the man's identity or whereabouts can call police on 651-249-2600 or 9-1-1. Police add that details can also be provided anonymously by texting the keyword "Maplewood" to Tip411 (847411).
