Regulators in both Brazil and the United States have approved UnitedHealth Group's plan to buy a major stake of Amil Participacoes, an operator of hospitals and clinics that is also Brazil's biggest managed-care company, Bloomberg reports. Target boosts dividend by 20 percent

The Minneapolis-based discount chain says it has increased its quarterly dividend to 36 cents. The dividend will be paid on September 10 to shareholders of record as of August 15. Target has reportedly paid a dividend every quarter since going public in 1967.

UnitedHealth pledges to keep health care overhaul provisions

Minnetonka-based UnitedHealth, the nation's largest health insurer, told the Associated Press it plans to keep and extend some provisions of the federal health-reform legislation regardless of whether the law is overturned. The U.S. Supreme Court is expected to issue a ruling later this month on the law's constitutionality.
