A third person has been charged with murder in connection with the death of 16-year-old Minnetonka High School student Samantha Burnette.

Burnette, 16 years old, was found dead in a St. Paul alley early Sunday from a gunshot wound.

Christopher Calloway, 32 years old, Kalisa Smith, 29, and Davonte Bobo, 24, were all charged Tuesday with second-degree murder and aggravated robbery in connection with her death.

According to the criminal complaints:

Burnette had been in a car with Smith and a third person (Burnette's sister, Brittany Rock), late Saturday, driving around, drinking and talking, when they picked up a fourth person referred to as DB.

At one point Smith – who was in the passenger seat – told them she needed to meet someone at the alley on Sims Ave. and got out of the car, saying she'd be right back.

She returned to the vehicle with two or three men – one of them pulled out a gun and demanded items. Rock said she didn't have anything, but he snatched her phone and pistol-whipped her in the head.

Rock got out of the vehicle and ran away.

Smith said Calloway got into the front passenger seat of the vehicle. Burnette woke up, having been asleep in the back seat. Burnette hit him with a bottle, he fired at the teenager, striking her. The medical examiner said she died of gunshot wounds to the lungs and heart.

Smith said she saw Calloway shoot Burnette, and knew that Calloway and others wanted to rob the people in the vehicle.

According to Smith, Bobo and another guy were outside of the car. She said Bobo had a semiautomatic gun that was bigger than Calloway's revolver.

Burnette's body was found in an alley. The car was later found crashed.

Smith later that morning called 911 and said she was the victim of domestic assault, saying Calloway – her sometimes boyfriend – was behind it.

Police arrested Calloway, and a witness heard something about him needing to lay low for awhile because he killed someone.

That morning, Bobo made a Facebook post that said: "F--- her n f--- her friend f--- her and f--- again bitch why u acting like that ? ofn bro went ku real life sh-- tho."

Police arrested Bobo, who said he followed Calloway into the alley, but ran away when shots were fired.

Both Smith and Calloway are expected to be in court Tuesday afternoon.

Bobo is expected to be in court Wednesday.
