A truck hit and killed a 79-year-old man outside of St. Croix Casino Friday night.

WCCO-TV reports that the Turtle Lake (Wis.) police department is investigating the accident, which the station says happened about 10:15 p.m.

The police says Donald P. Hatalla, of Turtle Lake, died on the scene after a truck driven by 74-year-old Kenneth L. Bonner of Alemna hit him, WCCO reports.

Police determined alcohol was not a factor, but say rain and darkness may have been.
