Officials are investigating two separate incidents in which vehicles crashed into two separate buildings in Duluth and Becker Tuesday, sending four people to the hospital.

John Janu, 43, of Sartell, was seriously injured and airlifted to St. Cloud Hospital after crashing into a dental office near Highway 10 in Becker Tuesday morning, the State Patrol incident report says. A person inside the building was also injured and brought to the hospital.

The report says Janu's Chevy Silverado slid off the road, hit a light pole and then crashed into the building. The road was listed as icy at the time of the crash.

The truck caused "extensive damage" to glass windows and the overhand on the building, but didn't penetrate it, Becker Police Chief Brent Baloun told the St. Cloud Times.

In Duluth, two 20-year-old women were being treated for apparent substance overdose after a vehicle they were driving in rolled through an intersection and crashed into the side of the Duluth Public Library, Northland's NewsCenter says.

The accident happened around 3 p.m. Tuesday, the Duluth News Tribune reports. The driver and her passenger weren't injured in the crash, which remains under investigation.

The damage to the library didn't appear to be extensive, reports say.
