Video: Huge piece of plastic swallows vehicle in the Twin Cities

That's about one of the scariest things you could see coming at you.

Mark this one down in the category of things you don't see every day – and things you hope you never see out of the front window of your vehicle.

In a video from the Minnesota State Patrol, a driver on Hwy. 52 in Inver Grove Heights narrowly avoided an accident on Wednesday when a large piece of heavy duty plastic flew off of a garbage truck and found its way to him.

As you'll see in the video, there was enough plastic to completely cover the man's SUV.

The driver of the SUV swarmed by the plastic can be heard in the video telling the officer that he saw it coming, so he was able to slow down enough to avoid an accident.

Obviously, this serves as a good reminder to make sure anything you're hauling is tied/strapped down appropriately.
