Video: power lifting grandma swipes planter packed with rocks

Author:

When a late-night thief swiped a decorative planter from the Lift Bridge Brewing Co. in Stillwater, the episode was captured on surveillance video. That's where things got weird.

The video shows a gray-haired lady single-handedly lifting the $125 potted arrangement and hauling it to a pickup truck.

Lift Bridge CEO Dan Schwarz was dumbfounded, telling the Pioneer Press, "She had to have superhuman strength because we actually have rocks in the bottom of it. It's unbelievable."

See for yourself:

Schwarz says Lift Bridge also had planters stolen last summer and Stillwater police tell the Pioneer Press there have been other reports of potted plants being lifted this spring and summer.

When Lift Bridge posted the video to its Facebook page, it spawned speculation that perhaps things are not as they seem. Some comments suggest the culprit's gray hair is merely a disguise.

Stillwater police await your tips at 651-351-4945.
